Hello again. I am so happy to be home, yet thrushed back into the rat race of reality. This is okay with me as long as I have a little piece of Kripalu with me. It is really hard to bring anything that you truly love into your daily life. It must be a priority. Most of us will go on a vacation, long weekend or experience "nirvana" even for a brief moment this summer. How can you bring this into your daily life?
I have chosen to take a little piece of Kripalu's peace and beauty with me through my daily meditation. Yes, I am trying to "Bridge the Gap into my Wellness" through sanity. As mentioned in an earlier blog that I have joined yogi friend, Chris Roche's, test pilot group of people trying to get physically and emotionally fit.
WE started our nutrition, exercise, strength and meditation practice officially this week. It has been a little bit of a challenge trying to even fit one hour a day into my life. How crazy is that? When he first was searching for volunteers, he mentioned that it would take less than 1 hour per day. That doesn't sound bad at all, but when trying to get that into my day....it has been impossible. Excuses arise like, no time, can't fit it in today, don't feel like it, on and on and on. WEll, like anything, even wellness, it must be a priority in our own lives.
If I want to have a little peace and my intention is to bring Kripalu with me home, then I must make it a priority. That means when things arise in my schedule that don't allow for my workouts or meditation, REFUSE THEM. These next 12 weeks are about NO EXCUSES! That is what I intend to do.
"Meditation is the practice of concentrating the mind in such a way that our awareness develops and we experience the natural wholeness and stillness that we are." Stephen Levine
